Kingfisher Training provides periodic Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) courses for professional coach, bus and lorry drivers in Reading and across Berkshire.

How much does Driver CPC training cost?

There is no fixed national price for Driver CPC, so it pays to compare providers before you commit. At Kingfisher Training, periodic sessions start from £35 plus VAT per person for a seven-hour module, subject to minimum numbers. We train individuals and companies alike: join one of our scheduled courses, or ask us to run a dedicated course for your staff, either at our own training facility or at your premises.

Do I need to do periodic Driver CPC training?

Your Driver Qualification Card must be renewed every five years, and that is done by completing periodic Driver CPC training. Drivers who already held a PCV or LGV licence before 2008 also need to complete periodic training to keep driving for hire or reward.

How long does Driver CPC training take?

Periodic Driver CPC requires 35 hours of training, mostly classroom based, in every five-year period of your professional driving career. That is made up of five modules, each lasting at least seven hours.
